          Fitness Testing


Students are currently participating in fitness testing and the charts below show the 50% and 85% percentile scores of students by age.  You can see how your child did by looking at their scores that they will bring home and comparing it to the chart.  


Students in grades 3,4, and 5 are doing all of the fitness testing as shown below. These give a picture of your child's fitness in endurance, strength, and flexibility. Students in grades 1 and 2 are running 1/4 mile and an optional 1/2 mile and mile.



Presidential Physical Fitness Award Qualifying Standards (85th Percentile)
The standards for this award are based on the 1985 National School Population Fitness Survey. They were validated in 1998 through comparison with a large nationwide sample collected in 1994.

Children should get 60 minutes of physical activity each day of the week.  Help them achieve this goal by encouraging these activities!
