Welcome back everyone! We are back in our routine after enjoying our summer. Students shared how they exercised over the summer by drawing a picture of themselves exercising and these were displayed at the back to school night for parents. Here's a look at them:
Grades 1-2 are learning locomotor skills such as skipping, galloping, hopping, jumping and running, and learning how to move safely in open space while maintaining their own personal space. We are also learning fundamental core strengthening exercises such as planks, superman and bananas!
Grades 3-4-5 are working on their "perfect push-ups" by doing an instant activity of 10 push-ups, followed by jogging and a strengthening fitness routine focusing on building core strength and muscular endurance.
September's unit is Soccer!
Remember to wear sneakers on P.E. days.
